OUR WORK

Summer Arts
Enrichment Camps

Kid's Art Supplies

Our two-week summer camps, modeled after PWCS enrichment programs, give rising 5th and 6th graders the chance to immerse themselves in theater, music, and dance. Led by student counselors and directors such as Vaughn, Glenna, Chloe, Amelia, Gabby, Joel, Lynleigh, Jeremiah, Mariam, and Ysa, the program balances skill-building with fun. Students spend three days each on acting, singing, and dancing before showcasing their talents in a final day performance. The camps provide not only structured learning but also a joyful community where creativity and confidence thrive.

Children Singing in a Choir

Free Singing and Acting Lessons

Throughout the year, we offer free singing and acting lessons tailored to underserved youth. With about six volunteer teachers available each month, students gain one-on-one and group instruction while young mentors earn volunteer hours for their service. Lessons are coordinated through simple sign-ups, with plans for a dedicated app to make access even easier. By removing financial barriers, this initiative ensures that every child has the opportunity to discover their voice and grow as a performer

Global Instrument Drive

Through our Instrument Drive, we collect gently used instruments and raise funds to purchase new ones, ranging from string and band instruments to flutes. In partnership with Sara Moussavi, these instruments are distributed both locally and internationally, including to students in India and potentially Iran. The project gives underprivileged youth the chance to learn and play music, bridging gaps in access and amplifying the joy of performance across borders.

Advocacy for Arts in Secondary Schools

Beyond programs, we are committed to structural change. Our advocacy efforts aim to secure funding and resources so that every middle school has access to robust performing arts opportunities. We push for dedicated budgets for school productions, CFPA (Center for Fine and Performing Arts) prep workshops, and the hiring of theater teachers as electives. By championing these policies, we work to ensure that arts education is not a privilege, but a standard for all students.
